A long weekend! Hope you’re all taking the time to rest and be with your people. Here’s a little round-up of things to read and/or listen to in your down time.
If you need a quick reminder on why we have Labor Day, read this on the Maker's Row blog. Maker’s Row, by the way, helps connect designers, brands (people like us), to U.S. manufacturing opportunities.
We love Bitter Southerner magazine (obviously, if you read our last post). Since the idea for Hem + Haw kinda started in a national park, we're big fans of this week's feature story about a father-son hike through a few national parks.
One of our beloved backers, Sharon Harrigan, has a piece in the New York Time’s Modern Love column. It’s a sweet story about being a single mom and dating in New York City.
Lastly, while you’re cleaning up from all your socializing, listen to Flannery O’Conner read her story “A Good Man is Hard to Find” in 1959. You’ll soak up her southern accent like some good sun tea soaks up the sun. (And here's a recipe for that.)
Happy long weekending.
